Shadow Metal Detector Coils

The 5", 7" and 9" coils are compatible with both the Shadow X3 and X5, but are NOT interchangeable with the Shadow X2. Troy Custom Detectors, Inc., recommends that you use only authentic TCD coils for optimum performance.

Shadow X5, X3
10" X 5" DD elliptical thin profile "Spider" coil. Available as an accessory item and interchangeable with the 9", 7" and 5" coils. The coil weighs 12 oz. (may vary slightly). Available with either a 42 inch or 7 foot cable cord.

9" Coil
Shadow X5, X3
9" round concentric, thin profile "Spider" coil. Comes standard with the Shadow X5. Interchangeable with the 7" round concentric "donut" coil that comes standard with the Shadow X3. Available with either a 42 inch or 7 foot cable cord. The 9" coil weighs 12 oz. (may vary slightly).

7" Coil

7" round concentric, thin profile "Donut" coil. Comes standard with the
Shadow X3. Interchangeable with the 9" round concentric "Spider" coil that comes standard with the Shadow X5. The 7" coil weighs 9 oz. (may vary slightly).
