PRINTED GRAPHICS COLLECTING CATEGORIES
Note, links to outside websites open in a new tab so you don't lose your place on Grahique Du Jour
I am not listing every genre and sub-genre as it would be too lengthy a list. I just want everyone to get a taste of what is available to collect or enjoy. Each category has its own appeal by respect of its rarity, beauty or subject matter. Find these items on ephemera websites, Ebay, Pinterest, Tumblr and elsewhere. The Golden Age of Illustration Art and Vintage Paper Ephemera is now past and is only available through collectors that make it available for purchase or viewing. Some older historical items are now only available from various historical archives and cannot easily be found for purchase.
For a more in depth presentation procure a copy of the Encyclopedia of Ephemera: A Guide to the Fragmentary Documents of Everyday Life for the Collector, Curator and Historian by Maurice Rickards |
